The week of October 19-25, 2025 is Invisible Disabilities Week. You can do your part to bring awareness, education, and support to colleagues, friends, and family members who struggle with an invisible disability.

Invisible disabilities are common, and often go unrecognized.

  • The Invisible Disabilities Association works to provide resources and bring attention to support those suffering with invisible disabilities.
  • Examples of invisible disabilities include, anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, Autism and Asperger’s syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, and sensory-processing disorders.

You can help raise awareness of invisible disabilities by posting our NEA-Alaska Invisible Disabilities information flyer on your union bulletin board.
